Sony’s Summer Launch Preview: New Lenses and Cameras on the Horizon

April 07, 2024 – Sony is gearing up for its summer product launch, with rumors swirling about several upcoming releases. According to SonyAlphaRumors, the first product on the docket is the FE 16-25mm F2.8 lens, slated for an official announcement in mid-April.

In the pipeline for May to June, Sony is reportedly planning to unveil the long-awaited ZV-E10II camera and the FE 85mm F1.4 GM II lens. Additionally, there’s speculation that the rumored FE 24-70mm F2.0 lens might also make an appearance during this period, although the exact release date remains uncertain.

Late last month, a new Sony camera model, identified as “WW293541,” received radio approval from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. This new device supports both 5.1 GHz and 2.4 GHz wireless networks as well as Bluetooth. SonyAlphaRumors has confirmed that this new model is indeed the upcoming ZV-E10II.

Based on current information, Sony could potentially launch one or more of the following products in the first half of this year: the ZV-E10 II, FE 16-25mm F2.8 G lens, and the FE 85mm F1.4 GM II lens. However, fans eagerly anticipating the release of the α7S IV and α1 II models may have to wait a little longer.

Furthermore, SonyAlphaRumors has previously hinted at the possible release of a high-end FE 24-70mm F2 GM zoom lens, priced at over $3,000. Whether this product will be announced at the upcoming summer launch remains to be seen. Stay tuned for more updates as Sony prepares to unveil its latest offerings.
