September 3, 2026 – Huawei recently held a global product launch event in Munich, Germany, officially unveiling the nova 16s Pro and several other new devices.
From the perspective of exterior design and core configurations, the Huawei nova 16s Pro can essentially be regarded as the international version of the China-exclusive nova 16 Pro.
However, in terms of software, the nova 16s Pro does not run HarmonyOS 6.1, which is used in the domestic model. Instead, it comes pre-installed with EMUI 16, tailored specifically for the overseas market.
In terms of performance, the new device is powered by the Kirin 9010S processor and supports 5G connectivity.
The Huawei nova 16s Pro features a 6.84-inch OLED flat display with a resolution of 2856×1320. It supports a 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a maximum touch sampling rate of 300Hz.
On the imaging front, the device sports a rear triple-camera setup. The main shooter is a 200-megapixel RYYB ultra-large sensor lens, featuring a 1/1.28-inch sensor, an F1.8 aperture, and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
It is also equipped with a 50-megapixel RYYB periscope telephoto lens, supporting 3.7x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. Additionally, there is a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, offering a 118° field of view and 2.5cm macro photography capabilities.
To enhance color reproduction, the nova 16s Pro includes a 1.5-megapixel multi-spectral sensor on the rear.
The front features a 50-megapixel portrait lens, also paired with a 1.5-megapixel multi-spectral sensor, primarily targeting selfies and portrait photography.
Regarding battery life, Huawei has managed to fit a massive 7000mAh battery into the nova 16s Pro’s slim 7.1mm chassis, alongside support for 100W wired fast charging.
In other specifications, the new device supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, dual-frequency GPS, and BeiDou triple-frequency positioning, and is equipped with symmetrical stereo dual speakers.
