Samsung’s New Galaxy A35 5G and A55 5G Smartphones Make Early Appearance on Geekbench

March 10, 2024 – Samsung is gearing up to introduce its latest additions to the Galaxy lineup with the upcoming launches of the Galaxy A35 5G and Galaxy A55 5G smartphones in overseas markets. Ahead of their official debuts, the new devices have already made an appearance on the Geekbench benchmarking platform.

The device, identified by the model number SM-A356B, achieved scores of 1021 in single-core testing and 2897 in multi-core testing, indicating solid performance capabilities. It is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1380 SoC, which utilizes a 5nm EUV process. The chipset features a combination of four Cortex-A78 and four A55 cores, along with an ARM Mali-G68 GPU for graphics processing.

Previous leaks have revealed key specifications and renderings of the upcoming device, which is expected to be available in four color options: Ice Blue, Lemon Yellow, Lavender, and Navy Blue. The new smartphone boasts a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a brightness level of 1000 nits (HBM), reaching a peak brightness of 1650 nits.

On the back of the device, Samsung has retained a triple-camera setup, equipped with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 5-megapixel macro lens. The primary camera has been upgraded to a 50-megapixel OIS sensor, enabling support for Super HDR video recording. For selfies, the device sports a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.
