September 29, 2026 – According to a tip from a tech blogger, the Honor WIN2 series has registered three device models, codenamed Barrett, with color options including Red-Blue Buff, Quick Win Black, and Guaranteed Victory. Based on current information, the series shows clear improvements in both battery life and performance.
The device will feature a built-in active cooling fan and a large VC vapor chamber. Engineering units are reported to have a 12,000mAh battery, making it the largest battery capacity seen in a smartphone to date.
Compared with the previous Honor WIN, the WIN2 series increases battery capacity by another 2,000mAh. Its capacity is more than twice that of the iPhone 18 Pro Max, which has a 5,391mAh battery in the China market version. This specification gives the WIN2 series a standout advantage in endurance.
On the performance side, the Honor WIN2 series is expected to be among the first to adopt Qualcomm’s sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Elite chip. The processor uses a “2+6” architecture, with two 5GHz super cores and six 4GHz performance cores.
Compared with the previous Elite version, the sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Elite mainly strengthens AI performance. The Adreno GPU adds Matrix Cores and Neural Fusion, improving AI super-resolution, frame generation, and image reconstruction. It can also run a 30-billion-parameter AI model locally.
Qualcomm has also introduced a new offset packaging technology to optimize total area and thermal efficiency, helping sustain performance for longer periods. By physically shifting the compute cores so that DRAM no longer sits directly above them, heat can be transferred more efficiently to external cooling materials.
To fully unleash the chip’s performance, the Honor WIN2 series adds an active cooling fan. The fan removes heat through rapid airflow, allowing the processor to maintain high performance under heavy loads and reducing the risk of thermal throttling.
The device is expected to launch in October and is described as Honor’s most performance-aggressive smartphone to date.
