February 13, 2025 – According to a discovery by MacRumors, French electronics retailer Boulanger has prematurely listed Apple’s upcoming iPhone SE (tentatively referred to as iPhone SE 4) on its website, labeling it as “coming soon.” However, the retailer has not disclosed any specific parameters, and the price listed appears to be a placeholder.
Previously, Mark Gurman predicted that the model would be “released this week,” but he later changed his statement, suggesting that Apple might postpone the launch to the following week.

Based on various leaked information, the Apple iPhone SE 4 is expected to undergo significant design changes. It is rumored to adopt a notch display similar to the iPhone 14, supporting Face ID and completely eliminating the Home button that has been a staple for three generations. The screen is rumored to be upgraded to a 6.1-inch OLED panel, maintaining the basic level of resolution and refresh rate (60Hz).
Furthermore, the device is expected to be equipped with the same A18 chip (second-generation 3nm process) as the iPhone 16, featuring 8GB of RAM to support Apple’s Intelligence functionality. This would make it the first entry-level iPhone to support AI. Additionally, it is rumored to be the first iPhone to utilize Apple’s self-developed 5G baseband, initially supporting only the Sub-6GHz frequency band. This marks a crucial step for Apple in reducing its reliance on Qualcomm.
In terms of camera specifications, the rear single camera is rumored to be upgraded to a 48-megapixel sensor, supporting computational photography optimizations. Moreover, the device is expected to fully transition to a USB-C interface, aligning with European Union regulations.
Regarding pricing, the iPhone SE 4 is anticipated to have a starting price of $499, which is approximately 16% higher than its predecessor. Despite the increase, it is still expected to remain the most affordable model in Apple’s product line.
