July 31, 2026 – Recent social media leaks from automotive content creators have pulled back the curtain on road-testing prototypes of the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance’s all-new Luxeed RX, a bold coupe-SUV that marks a major naming departure for Huawei’s premium EV lineup.
The blogger behind the shared shots noted that millions of kilometers of real-world validation are standard across the entire auto industry, not exclusive to any single brand — the difference here is that this level of transparent road-test sharing has rarely been seen before in the sector. Though the test vehicles are still wrapped in camouflage decals, their sleek, low-slung silhouette and sporty proportions are already fully visible to the public.

Official pre-released details confirm the RX will feature the distinctive “innovative L-shaped” Star-Gaze headlamps and full-width ring-shaped Star-Diamond taillights, paired with an industry-leading extreme wheel-to-height ratio and a floating body architecture. Aerodynamic optimization runs deep across the design, with 10 separate airflow management layouts distributed across the entire body. Buyers will get a wide range of customization options, including multiple 20- to 22-inch wheel designs, plus brake calipers available in red, gray and yellow finishes.
In terms of dimensions, the new model measures 5020mm in length, 2007mm in width, and stands between 1585mm and 1600mm tall, with a full 3000mm wheelbase and curb weight ranging from 2250kg to 2400kg. Under the skin, it rides on the all-new Huawei Turion platform, making its world debut with Huawei’s next-generation high-performance HarmonyE-Drive, which has been specially calibrated to deliver a distinct, engaging driving character unique to the RX.
The tech stack goes far beyond powertrain upgrades: the vehicle is equipped with Huawei’s Whale Battery Platform, a quad-LiDAR sensing suite, and the full Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving full-domain redundancy architecture, alongside the industry’s first-ever electromagnetic thermal control die-casting technology.
Breaking away from Luxeed’s previous number-based naming convention, the RX is the first Harmony Intelligent Mobility model to adopt this new naming logic. The “X” badge stands for unbounded possibility and a refusal to be boxed into predefined categories. Penned by Ferrari’s former chief exterior designer, this coupe-SUV is built from the ground up with a sharp, dynamic sporty atmosphere running through every design detail. Yu Chengdong, Huawei’s Executive Director and Chairman of the Terminal BG, has officially confirmed that the Luxeed RX will make its full public debut this coming autumn.
