July 31, 2026 – Hesai Technology, a leading global LiDAR solution provider for intelligent driving, announced yesterday that its automotive-grade ultra-long-range, over-1000-line LiDAR platform ETX has secured a new mass production designation from Great Wall Motor, with scheduled production and delivery kickoff set for the end of 2026.
This new partnership builds on a long-standing collaboration between the two firms, as four core brands under Great Wall Motor’s portfolio — WEY, TANK, ORA and Haval — already feature Hesai’s LiDAR hardware across multiple production models. The upcoming ETX integration marks a major step forward in elevating the automaker’s high-level intelligent perception capabilities for its next-generation vehicle lineup.

Positioned as the world’s highest-line-count and longest-detection-range automotive-grade high-performance LiDAR platform on the market, the ETX series offers flexible configuration options spanning 1080 lines, 2160 lines and 4320 lines, tailored to meet diverse L2 to L4 autonomous driving perception demands.
Engineered with industry-leading detection performance, the ETX can reach a maximum ranging distance of 600 meters, while maintaining reliable 400-meter detection for objects with just 10% reflectivity. Its exceptional small-object recognition capability allows it to clearly identify 120×60 cm road barriers at 300 meters, 60×40 cm small animals at 280 meters, and 15×25 cm wooden debris at 150 meters, drastically reducing the risk of missed detection and false alerts in complex driving scenarios.
