Toyota Accelerates Electric Push, Aims to Launch 9 EVs in Europe

March 14, 2025 – Toyota Motor Corporation is steadily advancing its electric vehicle (BEV) strategy in the European market, with a focus on achieving carbon neutrality in the region by 2035 through multiple technological approaches. The automaker has announced that it will introduce new and upgraded electric vehicle products in the core B, C, and D-segment SUV segments of the European market by the end of 2025.

These models will embody the key characteristics of Toyota’s electric vehicles: pure SUV performance and practicality, distinctive modern design, energy-efficient performance, and true all-wheel drive capabilities. Toyota plans to launch a total of nine pure electric vehicles in Europe between 2025 and 2026, with three Toyota-brand electric SUVs scheduled for release this year, including the new bZ4X, Urban Cruiser, and C-HR+. Another three models are set to follow in 2026.

Notably, the compact pure electric SUV model, C-HR+, was unveiled in Europe on March 12th and is expected to be available in select European countries later this year. Furthermore, Toyota will introduce three Lexus-brand electric vehicles in Europe within the next 12 months, with the new RZ SUV being the first to arrive.

In parallel, the company is exploring the possibility of applying electric vehicle technology to other models in its lineup, demonstrating Toyota’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the European automotive market.
