February 14, 2025 – Rivian, the emerging American automotive manufacturer, announced on the 10th of this month that its electric commercial vans are now open for sales to fleet customers across the United States. Previously, this series of vehicles were exclusively used by Amazon as delivery vehicles, but Rivian has since conducted trial collaborations with partners such as AT&T.
According to Rivian, the design of their electric commercial vans prioritizes safety, driver comfort, total cost of ownership, and sustainability. These vans are equipped with a range of safety systems including automatic emergency braking, collision warnings, reverse warnings, and a 360° camera.

Rivian’s electric commercial van lineup consists of two models, both of which are front-wheel drive. Here is a brief overview of each model:
The Delivery 500, which is the smaller of the two, has a length of approximately 6,312 millimeters, a height of 2,913 millimeters, and a width (including mirrors) of 2,449.56 millimeters. It offers a cargo space of around 13.79 cubic meters and a payload capacity of approximately 1,208 kilograms. The Delivery 500 has a range of 161 miles (roughly 259.1 kilometers) and starts at a price of $79,900.
Meanwhile, the Delivery 700, the larger model, measures approximately 7,061 millimeters in length, 2,916 millimeters in height, and 2,629 millimeters in width (including mirrors). It boasts a cargo space of 18.46 cubic meters and a payload capacity of about 1,024 kilograms. With a range of 160 miles (approximately 257.5 kilometers), the Delivery 700 has a starting price of $83,900.
