July 30, 2026 –XPeng Inc., the Chinese AI-driven mobility tech firm, has hit two major global milestones this week, as Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng announced the brand’s six-year overseas sales have crossed 100,000 units, with a market footprint now spanning 65 countries and regions. The company first launched its international expansion in Norway back in 2020, and has since seen its overseas delivery momentum accelerate sharply in 2026, with European markets posting a 154% year-on-year sales surge and the Asia-Pacific region growing 144% over the same period.
Just two days prior to the global sales update, XPeng formally unveiled its long-term market strategy for Australia at a Melbourne press event, laying out an aggressive roadmap for local product rollout and service network expansion. The brand plans to introduce its full-stack advanced intelligent driving system to Australian consumers by 2027, while launching five all-new smart electric vehicles across the second half of 2026.

Two key models have already been revealed as part of this Australian push: the seven-seat flagship XPeng X9 MPV, which is now open for pre-orders starting at 89,900 Australian dollars, and the right-hand-drive variant of the compact MONA L03 SUV, which made its first public appearance Down Under and is scheduled for a local market launch in the fourth quarter of 2026. To back up this product offensive, XPeng will build out three flagship tech experience centers across Australia, expand its retail network to 50 outlets covering five major states, and operate a dedicated parts warehouse in Melbourne in partnership with FedEx to enable next-day spare parts delivery for most metro areas.
The announcements come on the heels of XPeng’s recent global brand day event in Munich, where the company confirmed its cumulative worldwide vehicle deliveries have officially surpassed 1.2 million units, marking a new high for the fast-growing new energy automaker’s global market penetration.
