June 17, 2024 – According to Dubai Police’s official X platform account, the Dubai Police General Command has recently acquired a Tesla Cybertruck, which sports the iconic white and green color scheme of the Dubai Police, along with the force’s insignia on the hood. The pickup is reported to be integrated into the daily operations of the tourist police patrol fleet.
It’s noteworthy that Tesla’s Cybertruck is currently only sold in the United States, indicating that Dubai Police went through significant efforts to import this particular model.
In terms of pricing, the rear-wheel-drive Cybertruck starts at $60,990, boasts a range of 402 kilometers, accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 6.7 seconds, and has a top speed of 180 kilometers per hour. This variant is expected to hit the market in 2025.
Meanwhile, the all-wheel-drive Cybertruck, priced at $79,990, offers a range of 547 kilometers, extendable to over 755 kilometers with a range-extending package. This model can sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 180 kilometers per hour. It is slated for release this year.
Furthermore, Tesla has introduced a high-performance “Beast” version priced at $99,990. This model has a range of 515 kilometers, extendable to over 705 kilometers, accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in a blistering 2.7 seconds, and tops out at 209 kilometers per hour. This variant is also scheduled to be available this year.
