Lisa Su Climbs to No. 3 on Fortune’s 2026 Most Powerful Women List, Extends Seven-Year Streak

May 30, 2026 – AMD CEO Lisa Su has climbed one spot to third place on Fortune’s 2026 Most Powerful Women in Business list, marking her seventh consecutive year on the ranking and solidifying her position as the highest-ranked woman in the semiconductor industry.

The top five this year are led by Citigroup CEO Jane Fraser, followed by GM chief Mary Barra, with Su seated just behind them. Rounding out the top tier are Accenture Chair Julie Sweet and Banco Santander Executive Chair Ana Botín.

In a post on X, AMD highlighted how Su’s leadership has steered both the company and the broader semiconductor sector through what it called “one of the most transformative eras in computing,” while also serving as a beacon for the next wave of technology leaders.

Fortune’s own commentary notes that Su has evolved from a respected tech executive into one of the defining forces shaping the public AI infrastructure landscape.

Two Chinese executives also made notable appearances. Luxshare Precision Chairwoman Wang Laichun landed at No. 8, the highest-ranking Chinese woman on the list, while Huawei Deputy Chairwoman and Rotating Chairwoman Meng Wanzhou came in at No. 12 — both underscoring the growing global influence of women leaders from China.
