December 15, 2023 – In recent news, DXOMARK has unveiled the front camera score of the Apple iPhone 15 Pro, ranking it at the top of the global smartphone front camera leaderboard with an impressive total score of 149.
According to DXOMARK’s rigorous testing, the iPhone 15 Pro’s front camera achieved a remarkable total score of 149, on par with Apple’s own iPhone 15 Pro Max, sharing the top spot on DXOMARK’s global front camera rankings.
Furthermore, in terms of photography, the iPhone 15 Pro’s front camera scored 153, securing the third position, while its video capabilities earned it a score of 158, placing it in the eighth position.
The front camera of the iPhone 15 Pro boasts a 12-megapixel sensor, equipped with an F/1.9 aperture lens, supporting autofocus, and enabling 4K video recording at 24/25/30/60fps as well as 1080p video recording at 25/30/60/120fps.
DXOMARK also outlined the strengths and weaknesses of the iPhone 15 Pro’s front camera:
Advantages: Accurate exposure in both photos and videos, wide dynamic range, fast and precise autofocus, good depth of field, capturing rich details in photos and videos even in strong lighting conditions, stable recording while in motion, and precise subject separation in portrait mode.
Disadvantages: Presence of noise in all shooting conditions, occasional color distortion (ghosting) in photos and videos, occasional differences in sharpness between frames while recording video on the move.
