November 3, 2026 – Xiaomi has won two awards at the 2026 World Internet Conference in Wuzhen: the Outstanding Contribution Award for the group, and the Leading Technology Award for its “key technologies of general-purpose robotic manipulation foundation models for scalable deployment.” It is the first time Xiaomi has received both honors at the same event.
The award recognizes Xiaomi’s embodied AI stack, which now spans two generations of models. Xiaomi-Robotics-0 is a vision-language-action model using a “big brain–small brain” architecture and can run with 80ms inference latency on consumer-grade GPUs. Xiaomi-Robotics-1 was pre-trained on 100,000 hours of real-world manipulation trajectories, has shown stable scaling-law gains on unseen tasks, and ranked first on RoboCasa 365 and RoboDojo in July 2026.

Two deployment milestones were disclosed. In Xiaomi’s auto factory, a humanoid robot completed an eight-hour shift at a center-console side-panel sorting station, meeting full-day production needs and handling exceptions with line-system coordination. In Xiaomi Youth Apartments, an agent system built on Xiaomi-Robotics-1 has entered trial operation, completing a continuous task chain lasting over 30 minutes across three rooms and covering more than 50 tasks, including tidying, waste removal, item sorting and room inspection.
Xiaomi said R&D spending totaled 105.5 billion yuan from 2021 to 2025, and it plans to invest more than 200 billion yuan over the next five years, with AI large models, embodied intelligence and smart manufacturing among the priorities.
