Intel CEO to Host Dinner for Taiwanese Supply Chain, Including NVIDIA-Snubbed Compal

June 03, 2024 – Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger arrived early in Taiwan on June 1st, signaling his eagerness to participate in the upcoming COMPUTEX Taipei, where he is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech on June 4th.

Ahead of his much-anticipated address, Gelsinger plans to host a VIP dinner on the evening of June 3rd, inviting key supply chain partners from Taiwan to join him. According to reports, the exclusive guest list includes 11 top executives from leading Taiwanese supply chain companies, many of whom are also key suppliers to NVIDIA and AMD.

The who’s who of the Taiwanese tech industry will be attending, with heavyweights such as Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry), Quanta Computer, Compal Electronics, Inventec, Wistron, Pegatron, ASUS, Acer, Gigabyte Technology, and Micro-Star International all confirmed to be in attendance. Notably, Compal Electronics, which had previously expressed disappointment at being excluded from an NVIDIA event, has made the cut for Gelsinger’s dinner.

COMPUTEX Taipei is recognized globally as a leading exhibition for AIoT and startup industries. This year’s event, taking place from June 4th to June 7th at the Nangang Exhibition Hall, promises to be a hotbed of innovation and discussion.

During the exhibition, several international AI experts will delve deep into AI applications and hardware innovations. The event will also be graced by the presence of numerous technology heavyweights, including AMD Chairman and CEO Lisa Su and Qualcomm President Cristiano Amon.
