HTC’s Latest Release: Meet the Stellar E – A Feature-Packed Entry-Level Device

August 07, 2023 – In a surprising move, HTC has quietly introduced a new smartphone in the African market, known as the HTC Stellar E. This entry-level device aims to capture the attention of budget-conscious consumers with its unique features and affordability.

Embracing a modern design, the HTC Stellar E boasts a sleek waterdrop display with slightly wider bezels. Positioned in the top left corner on the back panel, the HTC logo and a camera module housing an LED flash are prominently featured.

The centerpiece of the HTC Stellar E is its 6.5-inch LCD screen, delivering a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by the capable Violet Spectra SC9832E chipset, accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. Users have the flexibility to expand the storage further through a microSD card slot, catering to those who need more space for their digital content.

Out of the box, the HTC Stellar E comes equipped with Android 12 Go Edition, optimized to provide a smooth and efficient user experience even with modest hardware resources. Security-wise, the phone offers facial unlock and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, ensuring that users can access their devices conveniently and securely.

In the battery department, the HTC Stellar E is equipped with a 3000mAh battery, supporting 5W charging via the convenient USB-C port. Although not the fastest charging technology available, it serves its purpose well for everyday usage.

Photography enthusiasts will find an 8-megapixel rear camera on the HTC Stellar E, while selfie lovers can rely on the 5-megapixel front-facing camera for capturing their best moments. The phone provides various connectivity options, including dual SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and a classic 3.5mm headphone jack.

Measuring at 164.8 x 76.5 x 9.2mm and weighing 200 grams, the HTC Stellar E strikes a balance between portability and offering a substantial screen real estate for multimedia and productivity tasks.

Although HTC is initially releasing the Stellar E exclusively in the African region, the company might expand its availability to other markets in the future, depending on its performance and reception. As for the price, HTC has not yet disclosed any official figures, leaving consumers eager to learn more about this enticing budget-friendly smartphone.
