When questioned about how the public perceives Elon, Maye expressed her preference for him to be judged by his entrepreneurial spirit rather than his net worth.
Despite Elon’s current status as the world’s richest person, Maye expressed displeasure with those who label her son as merely a “billionaire,” viewing such a designation as a form of “diminution.” Instead, she advocated for him to be recognized as a “genius.”
Maye emphasized that her son excels in every aspect and considers mere mentions of his vast wealth to be offensive. “I dislike terms like ‘wealthy’ or ‘billionaire’ because I find them to be belittling,” she stated.
She told the host, “I see him as a global genius. People admire and respect him for what he does, and I am incredibly proud of him.”

When asked if she is always surprised by the goals Musk pursues, Maye responded, “I am always amazed. Every time I say, ‘Don’t take on anything else,’ he never listens to me, and then he goes ahead and makes significant changes.”
Regarding Trump, she commented, “They both enjoy each other’s company, and [Elon] holds him in high regard. He is pleased that America now has a future.” She also expressed her fondness for “attending Elon’s meetings” and hearing about his ideas for DOGE.
