Chinese Guy Brings 8 Robots to America’s Got Talent — Stunning Sync Dance Wins Unanimous Golden Buzzer

June 4, 2026 – A 26-year-old entrepreneur from Sichuan, Wu Yufei, stunned both judges and audiences on America’s Got Talent this past Monday night by taking the stage with eight Unitree humanoid robots — and walking away with unanimous approval to advance.

As Lady Gaga’s iconic hit filled the arena, Wu and his robotic troupe launched into a tightly choreographed dance routine. Mid-performance, all eight machines executed synchronized backflips in unison, leaving the crowd and panel visibly speechless. “This is incredible — absolutely spectacular!” one judge exclaimed.

But the spectacle didn’t end there. After the dance, Wu pivoted to a live demonstration of Chinese martial arts with the robots. One judge, clearly smitten, attempted to carry a unit offstage — only for the robot itself to politely decline.

The stunt earned Wu a clean sweep of yes votes, securing his spot in the next round.

America’s Got Talent, which premiered on NBC in June 2006, remains one of the country’s most-watched reality competitions, open to performers of any age or skill set, with a $1 million grand prize on the line.

Wu’s appearance comes amid a broader surge in global fascination with Chinese humanoid robots. While the United States still leads in the high-end semiconductors that power robotic “brains,” China has established an unrivaled dominance in hardware manufacturing — from microelectronics and electric motors to rare earth materials and magnets.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang echoed this reality on a recent podcast, conceding that China currently leads the world in the foundational components of robotics. “The global robotics industry will, to a large extent, depend on China,” he said.
