Jeep CEO Announces Upcoming Release of Gladiator 4xe Hybrid Model

May 06, 2024 – Recent news has announced that Jeep CEO Antonio Filosa declared the upcoming release of the Jeep Gladiator 4xe hybrid model next year, albeit without divulging further specifics about the vehicle.

In light of Jeep’s recent introduction of the 2024 Wrangler 4xe, and considering that the “Gladiator” is essentially a pickup truck version of the Wrangler, it is anticipated that the Jeep Gladiator 4xe will feature a similar plug-in hybrid system combining a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine with an electric motor, akin to its Wrangler counterpart. However, detailed dimensions such as length, width, height, and wheelbase remain undisclosed at this time.

Drawing parallels from the Wrangler 4xe, which is equipped with a 17 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, one might expect comparable specifications for the Gladiator 4xe. The Wrangler 4xe boasts a maximum power output of 270 kW and a peak torque of 637 Nm, offering a pure electric driving range of approximately 33 kilometers.
