BYD Song Pro DM-i Hits the Mexican Market

September 03, 2024 – BYD’s compact SUV, the Song Pro DM-i, has made its way into the Mexican market, introducing a single configuration priced at 599,880 pesos.

It’s worth noting that the Mexican version of the Song Pro DM-i shares similar design elements with its Chinese counterpart, both being left-hand drive models.

The Mexican Song Pro DM-i comes equipped with a 12.8-inch rotatable central control screen, offering features such as karaoke functionality, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, 4G network support, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Additionally, it includes standard features like a 360-degree panoramic camera, tire pressure monitoring, ESP stability control system, hill assist, and full-speed adaptive cruise control.

In terms of power, the Mexican Song Pro DM-i is fitted with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine and a drive motor. The engine delivers a maximum power of 81 kilowatts, while the drive motor provides 145 kilowatts. The vehicle is powered by a 12.9-kilowatt-hour lithium iron phosphate blade battery, offering a pure electric range of 71 kilometers under NEDC conditions.
