March 04, 2024 – Meta has officially announced the launch of a new feature within its Meta Quest+ subscription service, introducing a “Game Catalog” function that enables users to directly view and download “free-with-subscription” apps through the mobile app and storefront. This move mirrors a similar offering from Microsoft, which provides access to a library of games through its Xbox Game Pass (XGP) service.
According to the official press release, Meta Quest+ subscribers will have access to the following games at no additional cost this month:
A Township Tale
Demeo
Espire 1: VR Operative
Fruit Ninja
Hand Physics Lab
Jurassic World Aftermath Collection
Moss
Onward
Red Matter
Sports Scramble
The Climb
Until You Fall
Walkabout Mini Golf
The announcement comes shortly after Meta rolled out its v62 update for the Quest 3 / Pro headset, introducing a new Multimodal feature. This update allows users to interact with apps from the Quest store and App Lab using both hand tracking and controllers simultaneously, providing more flexibility and options for immersion within the virtual environment.
