September 06, 2024 – According to Bloomberg, OpenAI has reached a significant milestone with its ChatGPT enterprise versions, including ChatGPT Team, ChatGPT Enterprise, and ChatGPT Edu, surpassing 1 million paying users.
However, OpenAI has not disclosed the average number of users per enterprise customer or the recent number of new enterprise signups. In April of this year, OpenAI stated that it had 600,000 enterprise ChatGPT users, excluding the Edu product launched in May.
Bloomberg adds that the company’s enterprise user base is primarily concentrated in the United States, with significant usage also seen in Germany, Japan, and the UK.
It’s worth mentioning that The Information reported tonight that OpenAI is considering increasing subscription fees for its next-generation AI models. Internal discussions have even included a potential price point of $2000 per month, although no final decision has been made.
