October 30, 2026 – Huawei’s second Qiankun ADAS Open Competition has drawn more than 100,000 sign-ups on its first day, far exceeding the total participation of the inaugural event and underscoring the growing base of vehicles running its smart-driving stack.
Registration opened at 10:00 a.m. on October 26, while official mileage counting will begin on October 31 and run through November 13. Winners will be announced within 14 working days after the competition ends.
The event is open to a wide range of models equipped with Huawei Qiankun ADAS, including Harmony Intelligent Mobility vehicles, Avatr, Deepal, Fangchengbao, GAC Trumpchi, Dongfeng Mengshi, Hycan, Jetour and others. Drivers can register through the in-car HUAWEI ADS app, the Huawei Qiankun app or a WeChat mini program.

Instead of requiring long-distance runs, the competition is built around daily driving. It features eight tracks, and a single day of assisted driving over 30 km counts as one valid check-in. Participants who check in 3, 7 or 14 times can claim points, and those who reach 14 check-ins become eligible for a blind-box draw with more than 20,000 prizes, including phones, tablets and earbuds.
Higher-tier users can compete on the Navigation Master leaderboard, which ranks total urban and expressway assisted-driving mileage. The top three winners can receive prizes equivalent to the Mate XT 2 Ultimate Design, valued at 23,999 yuan, while other ranks offer phones, tablets and watches. All rewards are issued as points in the Huawei Qiankun app.
Huawei has repeatedly stressed that Qiankun ADS is an advanced driver-assistance system, not autonomous driving. Drivers must keep their hands on the wheel, remain ready to take over, avoid fatigue driving and refrain from using any tools to inflate mileage. Only assisted-driving data recorded between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. will be counted.
The surge in registrations suggests that Huawei’s smart-driving ecosystem is moving beyond early adopters. The first competition, held earlier this year, attracted more than 150,000 participants and recorded over 80 million kilometers of assisted driving. This round’s faster uptake points to stronger real-world engagement as more brands adopt the Qiankun platform.
