September 07, 2024 – Samsung has announced its participation in the “Make in India” initiative, with the production of a variety of AI-enabled Bespoke home appliances now underway at its Sriperumbudur factory near Chennai, India. Among these, the Curd Maestro refrigerator stands out as a notable example.
This August, Samsung unveiled ten new washing machine models in India, all of which were proudly manufactured at the Chennai plant. The company’s list reveals that several other products, including the versatile 5-in-1 Curd Maestro+ refrigerator, washing machines with Eco Bubble technology, Windfree air conditioners, Durafin Ultra and Digital Inverters, as well as a range of microwaves such as the Curd Maker, Roti/Naan, Masala, and Sundry series, are also being produced at the Sriperumbudur facility. It appears that these products are currently exclusive to the Indian market.
Many of these appliances are compatible with SmartThings and boast AI features, such as the basic AI energy-saving mode, which aims to reduce electricity costs for users. Additionally, SmartThings enables remote control of various Bespoke home appliance functions, providing added convenience.
Samsung has expressed its commitment to expanding its operations in India and delivering sustainable and user-friendly advanced technologies to Indian consumers.
