September 07, 2024 – At the ID. conference held in Locarno, Switzerland, Volkswagen unveiled the ID.3 GTX Fire+Ice, a collaboration with fashion brand Bogner that pays tribute to the Golf Fire and Ice of the 1990s.
Volkswagen highlighted the Golf Fire and Ice’s immense success, noting its loyal fanbase worldwide and the admiration it holds among the company’s technical development team.
The new ID.3 GTX Fire+Ice reinterprets the “collision of fire and ice” with its Electric Violet hue. Featuring a deep blue base coat and glass beads, the vehicle’s bonnet exhibits varying colors such as deep blue, purple, or black depending on lighting conditions.
Beyond its distinctive paint job, this popular model sports flaming red accents and matte graphics. Additionally, the 21-inch wheels come with a blue anodized finish.
The interior has also undergone an upgrade, featuring a split-color scheme. Volkswagen incorporated fiery red decorations on the driver’s side seats and seams, while the passenger seats and interior elements received an icy blue design treatment.
Powering the new FIRE+ICE model is the same motor found in the ID.3 GTX Performance, delivering a potent 321 horsepower. This allows for a swift acceleration from 0 to 62 miles per hour (0 to 100 kilometers per hour) in just 5.7 seconds. The 79 kWh battery provides a WLTP range of up to 373 miles (601 kilometers).
