September 07, 2024 – Microsoft announced in a press release on September 5th that its Outlook Lite app has surpassed 10 million downloads globally.
Outlook Lite, which was launched by Microsoft in August 2022 specifically for Android devices, initially had an APK file size of 5MB, which has now increased to 8MB. The app is primarily targeted towards entry-level and mid-range smartphones with limited memory and storage space.
It was reported in December 2023 that Outlook Lite had achieved over 5 million downloads worldwide. However, in just nine months, the app has doubled its download count, reaching the impressive milestone of 10 million.
The Microsoft Outlook Lite team attributed this success to the addition of several new features over the past 12 months, including support for multiple accounts, allowing users to manage multiple email accounts simultaneously, and seamless integration with Gmail accounts for easier access and management.
The development team also expressed their commitment to continuously listening to user feedback and suggestions for improvement to further enhance Outlook Lite’s “overall performance and user experience.” They expressed their gratitude to users for their trust and support.
