January 4, 2025 – Apple Inc. has officially announced that Kevan Parekh will succeed Luca Maestri as the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective January 1, 2025.
Maestri, who had served as Apple’s CFO since 2014, oversaw significant growth in the company’s financial performance. Following his transition from the CFO role, he will continue to lead the corporate services team, responsible for areas including information systems and technology, information security, as well as real estate and development.
Apple CEO Tim Cook expressed his deep appreciation and praise for Maestri’s outstanding contributions to the company.
Kevan Parekh, aged 53, joined Apple in June 2013. He has held several key financial positions within the company, including Vice President of Finance, Planning and Analysis, and Vice President of Finance for Sales, Marketing, and Retail.
Prior to joining Apple, Parekh held senior leadership roles at Thomson Reuters and General Motors. He currently oversees finance planning and analysis, executive and benefits finance, investor relations, and market research.
On Friday, Apple filed a Form 8-K with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, formally announcing the CFO transition. Effective January 1, 2025, Parekh’s annual salary has been increased to $1 million, and he will be eligible to participate in Apple’s executive cash incentive plan for the 2025 fiscal year.
