June 8, 2026 – Xiaomi kicked off its latest product event in Beijing today, unveiling the much-anticipated Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro smartphones. However, the real showstopper wasn’t a phone at all — it was a robot.
The Xiaomi Humanoid Robot made its public debut on stage, much to the crowd’s surprise. The device even grabbed a Xiaomi 17T Pro and snapped a few photos live, drawing praise from the presenter, who called the results “impressive.”

This isn’t the robot’s first appearance. It first surfaced at Xiaomi’s Investor Day back in April, carrying forward the design language of the 2022 CyberOne “Tie Da” humanoid. Clad in dark gray fabric with a bold Xiaomi logo across its chest, the robot exudes a distinctly futuristic aesthetic.
Just last week, Xiaomi founder Lei Jun took to Weibo to announce that the company’s robotics team had claimed championship titles at both CVPR 2026 and ICRA 2026 — two of the most prestigious global competitions in the field. The victories firmly place Xiaomi in the top tier of worldwide robotics research.
Lei emphasized that the ultimate goal for the robot is not to sit in a lab, but to step into the real world and get things done.
