Apple’s M4 Mac Lineup Looms as Inventory Dwindles, Online Unveiling Likely

October 22, 2024 – According to a post by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg on the Thread platform today, Apple is poised to update its M4 Mac product line based on current inventory status. However, the preparations suggest that the launch may not include a physical event and is instead likely to be announced online.

In his post, Gurman noted that the inventory levels at Apple Stores for products including the iMac, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad are “notably low.” This reduction in stock typically indicates the imminent release of new products.

Rumors are circulating that the upcoming iMac and MacBook Pro models will be equipped with the Apple M4 processor, which is currently exclusive to the iPad Pro.

Meanwhile, the Mac mini is rumored to undergo a “complete redesign,” aligning with previous speculation. It is expected to feature a smaller form factor and a different array of ports.

Gurman stated that there is no evidence suggesting Apple will host a large-scale offline event for the launch. Instead, he anticipates a release similar to last year’s “swift and impactful” online announcement, where media outlets will have the opportunity for hands-on experiences with the new devices.
