Apple Updates Developer App with Custom Dark Icons and View Enhancements

November 20, 2024 – Apple has updated its Apple Developer app, introducing new customization options for developers on iOS and iPadOS 18 and subsequent versions. The update allows developers to personalize their app icons with dark mode and tinted themes, adding a touch of individuality to their development tools.

Among the key updates are enhanced viewing options for videos related to themes or events. Users can now choose between a grid view and a list view to browse through videos, providing a more flexible and user-friendly experience.

Additionally, the update includes a new setting that allows developers to select whether they want to stream videos over a personal hotspot or download them for offline viewing. This gives developers more control over their data usage and viewing preferences.

Furthermore, after watching a video in full, a prompt will now appear in the video’s detail view, providing additional information or suggestions for further action.

Apple has also addressed various bugs and made enhancements to improve the overall functionality of the app.

The Apple Developer app serves as a comprehensive resource for developers, featuring the latest news, feature introductions, videos, and WWDC experiences. It enables developers to stay up-to-date with the newest Apple frameworks and technologies, while also facilitating easy access to developer-related news and reports.
