January 09, 2024 – Apple has recently sent out invitations to various media outlets and guests, announcing an upcoming event at the Apple Store on Friday, February 2, at 8 a.m. local time in the United States. The highly anticipated occasion will showcase the company’s Vision Pro headset.
The invitation-only event, promoted via email, is primarily targeted at members of the press, industry experts, influencers, and select customers. The demonstration is set to span from Friday through the weekend.
In a related announcement yesterday, Apple revealed that pre-orders for the Vision Pro mixed reality headset will commence on Friday, January 19. The official launch and sale of the device will take place on February 2, both in-store at all U.S. Apple Store retail locations and online via the Apple website.
First unveiled at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference last June, the Vision Pro headset carries a price tag of $3,499 (currently equivalent to approximately ¥25,053).
Boasting a 4K resolution for each eye, the Vision Pro allows users to switch between Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) experiences using a dial located on the side of the headset.
Powered by Apple’s proprietary dual-chip technology, comprising the M2 chip and the new R1 chip dedicated to processing data from the built-in sensors, cameras, and microphones, the headset offers a hands-free experience thanks to its eye, head, and hand tracking capabilities.

According to Apple, the Vision Pro will come standard with two headband options: the Solo Knit Band and the Dual Loop Band.
Included in the Vision Pro’s packaging are a light seal cover, two different types of light seal inserts, a front cover for the device, a polishing cloth, a battery, a USB-C charging cable, and a USB-C power adapter.
