September 02, 2024 – Reports have emerged from “Wall Street Insights” claiming that Apple has updated its stockpile guidelines for the upcoming iPhone 16 series to 88 million units, maintaining a similar level to the previous iPhone 15 series.
“Stockpile guidelines” refer to the data and criteria used by companies to prepare their inventories, ensuring adequate supply to meet future demand while minimizing waste and additional costs due to overstocking.
The highly anticipated iPhone 16 series, slated for release on September 10th, will include four models: the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Recently, foreign media outlet 9to5Mac revealed rendered images of a bronze titanium iPhone 16 Pro. Reports suggest that Apple may discontinue the blue titanium option for the iPhone 16 Pro Max this year, introducing a new bronze variant instead.
Meanwhile, Foxconn Technology Group (Foxconn), a key Apple supplier, has begun a massive recruitment drive in August, gearing up for the busy “Apple season” in September when new iPhone models are typically released. This mid-year period is crucial for preparing the new iPhone’s inventory.
According to a report published by Counterpoint Research at the end of August, the initial panel shipments for the iPhone 16 series are 20% higher than those of the iPhone 15 series.
The report also indicates several upgrades for the iPhone 16 series, including:
iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature 6.27-inch and 6.86-inch screens, respectively.
All iPhone 16 models will be equipped with a Capture Button, previously exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro models.
Standard models will be powered by the A17 Bionic chip, while the Pro models will sport the A18 Pro chip.
Standard models will adopt vertically aligned camera lenses.
The new series will showcase a slimmer bezel design.
iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will utilize a new M14 OLED material.
