November 07, 2024 – Tessolve, an Indian company, has announced its acquisition of Dream Chip Technologies (DCT), a chip design firm located in Hannover, Germany, for a sum of 4 billion rupees. This move significantly bolsters Tessolve’s expertise in AI, automotive, and data center chip design. Simultaneously, the company has expanded its European footprint with new factories in Germany and the Netherlands.
According to public information, DCT currently employs 72 individuals and was previously acquired by Goodix in 2020. Tessolve, headquartered in Bangalore with a staff of 3000, operates as a division of Hero Electronix, which is a part of the world’s largest motorcycle brand, Hero.
On November 5th, Goodix released a statement revealing its intention to transfer the full ownership of DCT GmbH and DCT B.V. to Tessolve Engineering Service Pte. Ltd. Following the completion of this transaction, Goodix Hong Kong will relinquish its holdings in the aforementioned companies. The initial transaction price, agreed upon by both parties, is set at 42.5 million euros.
