May 27, 2024 – According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple has reached an agreement with OpenAI to integrate a series of generative AI features into the upcoming iOS 18 system. This partnership is expected to be officially announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024 next month.
However, Apple is not putting all its eggs in one basket. The company is still in negotiations with Google to potentially include its Gemini AI as an alternative option within the iOS system.
Gurman also hinted at the reveal of an improved Siri voice assistant during the WWDC. Additionally, he outlined several upcoming AI features for iOS 18, including the automatic generation of emoji symbols, auto-replies for emails and text messages, among others.
The integration of advanced AI capabilities into iOS 18 promises to significantly enhance the user experience, making daily tasks more convenient and efficient for Apple device users. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development at the upcoming WWDC 2024.
