DingTalk Taps AI Veteran Ren Qing to Lead Commercialization

August 18, 2026 – DingTalk is undergoing another major leadership transition as Yang Meng, the core executive who has overseen its commercialization efforts for years, is set to depart. The executive shakeup comes less than two months after the platform completed a comprehensive organizational restructuring under its new management team.

According to sources familiar with the matter, Yang Meng, currently serving as DingTalk’s Global Commercial President and Head of the Customer Development Department, has completed his internal resignation procedures and is planning to join Ant Group. His commercialization responsibilities will be assumed by Ren Qing, also known by his Alibaba alias “Yitong,” who currently serves as Vice President of DingTalk’s Wukong division.

Insiders indicate that Yang’s departure was voluntary, and the personnel changes could be officially announced as early as this week. However, the specific role Yang will take on at Ant Group, as well as whether Ren Qing will retain the title of Global Commercial President, remain undisclosed. Sources also suggest that Yang’s exit is closely tied to Alibaba’s accelerated push into AI commercialization, as the conglomerate has set significantly higher expectations for revenue growth and commercial conversion within its enterprise services segment. As of press time, neither DingTalk nor Ant Group has issued an official response regarding the personnel changes.

This transition follows a major restructuring announced on June 18, when DingTalk’s newly appointed CEO Chen Yusen released a company-wide memo. Under the new structure, DingTalk’s direct sales, telesales, service providers, pre-sales, delivery, and customer success teams were consolidated into a unified Customer Development Department, which was placed under Yang Meng’s direct leadership and reported directly to the CEO.

While DingTalk operates as a core business unit under Alibaba, Ant Group—though originally spun off from Alibaba—now functions as a completely independent entity with no direct corporate control or subordination relationship between the two companies.
