December 27, 2024 – Toyota Motor Corporation has recently announced plans to unveil a special performance edition called the “Darkside” during next year’s Tokyo Motor Show. While the automaker has remained tight-lipped about specific details of the model, they did reveal that the “Darkside” performance edition is a futuristic concept car, showcasing a new look for the RAV4 that departs significantly from its traditional outdoor image. This innovative vehicle brings the future of mobility, often seen in science fiction movies, anime, and video games, into the real world.
The exterior design of the Darkside hints at its advanced technology, featuring a large front intake, prominent wheel arches, and a sharply defined lower surround. The front of the vehicle sports a distinctive lighting strip and a closed grille, although it remains unclear whether this model will enter mass production.
In addition to the Darkside edition, Toyota has also introduced a new “Outdoor Lifestyle Package” for the RAV4. Preview images indicate that the updated model will include a unique graphic design on the front, wheel arches, roof racks, and possibly even all-terrain tires.
