TikTok and Amazon Collaborate for In-App Shopping Experience

August 09, 2024 – TikTok has announced a collaboration with Amazon, enabling users to purchase products from Amazon without leaving the short video app. This integration promises a seamless shopping experience for TikTok users.

Under this new partnership, users will encounter Amazon product recommendations within the “For You” feed. With a “one-time, secure, fast, and simple” process, users can link their TikTok and Amazon accounts.

Once the accounts are linked, consumers can complete purchases on Amazon through product advertisements directly within the TikTok app, providing a quicker and smoother shopping journey. Additionally, TikTok users can view real-time pricing, Prime eligibility, shipping estimates, and product details within the Amazon ads on TikTok. Users also have the flexibility to unlink their Amazon account from TikTok at any time through the app’s settings.

According to Sensor Tower’s recent data, TikTok maintained its position at the forefront of global mobile app revenue, with a revenue growth of 8% to $2.6 billion in the first half of 2024. This partnership with Amazon is expected to further boost TikTok’s revenue and user engagement.
