September 21, 2023 -Samsung is gearing up to launch two new smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy A05 (model SM-A055F) and the Galaxy A05s (model SM-A057F), and the product manuals have revealed some intriguing specifications.
Both of these phones are equipped with MediaTek’s Helio G85 processor, which marks a significant upgrade compared to the Exynos 850 processor found in the previous Galaxy A04 series. However, it’s worth noting that neither of these phones supports 5G connectivity.
Both devices feature 4GB of RAM, with the Samsung Galaxy A05 sporting a dual-camera setup on the rear, while the Galaxy A05s boasts a triple-camera array, both featuring a 50-megapixel main camera.
What sets the Galaxy A05s apart is its NFC capability, which the Galaxy A05 lacks. Both phones come out of the box with Android 13, and users can expect updates for the next 2-3 Android versions.
Samsung is rumored to equip both these smartphones with a 5000mAh battery and 15W fast charging support. The company plans to launch the Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s in Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.
The Galaxy A05 features a waterdrop notch display and a textured rear panel, with color options including black, silver, and light green.
In terms of specifications, the Galaxy A05 is said to be powered by an octa-core processor, although the exact model remains undisclosed. It will be available with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage space. Previous reports also suggest that this phone will include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Earlier reports on the Samsung Galaxy A05s showed renders with a 6.6-inch screen featuring an Infinity-U waterdrop design on the front and a triple-camera setup on the back.
