Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Camera Sensor Specifications Unveiled

October 16, 2023 – Recently, blogger @REclouds unveiled the key specifications of the image sensor for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra on the X platform. Let’s take a closer look together.

The exposed information reveals that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a 200-megapixel primary camera with the HP2SX sensor, boasting a 1/1.3-inch sensor size and 0.6μm pixel size. The ultra-wide-angle lens will be equipped with a 12-megapixel IMX564 sensor, measuring 1/2.55 inches with a pixel size of 1.4μm. The 10-megapixel 3x telephoto lens will use the IMX754+ sensor, with a sensor size of 1/3.52 inches and 1.12μm pixel size. Lastly, the 48-megapixel 5x telephoto lens will incorporate the GMU sensor with a 1/2.25-inch sensor size and 0.8μm pixel size.

According to blogger @i 冰宇宙, who previously leaked information, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature a 50-megapixel 5x telephoto lens with a sensor size of 1/2.52 inches and 0.7μm pixel size. In terms of other lenses, this blogger suggests that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will see an upgrade in its primary sensor. While it will still be a 200-megapixel sensor, its model will be the ISOCELL HP2SX, indicating potential optimizations.

It’s evident that the two bloggers’ leaked information varies slightly, but it’s safe to say that the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s telephoto lens is getting a pixel boost, with the optical zoom range shifting from 10x to 5x optical zoom.
