September 28, 2026 – According to CCTV News, the world’s first embodied AI robot equipped with a fully localized electronic architecture was officially unveiled today at a launch event in Yichang, Hubei Province.
The electronic architecture serves as the robot’s “intelligent nervous system,” covering core components such as the operating system, network, tool software, and AI computing chips. It directly determines the robot’s control capabilities, intelligent computing efficiency, and overall system safety. Experts explain that if a robot is viewed as a “person,” the electronic architecture is its nervous system—no matter how sophisticated the brain’s thinking is, action cannot occur without a functioning nervous system.

The newly unveiled fully localized electronic architecture achieves the isolated integration of real-time control and AI intelligent computing. It establishes a fully domestic technological foundation from AI decision-making to physical execution, providing a complete alternative to foreign solutions.
In terms of safety, testers from the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center conducted multiple technical verifications on the robot, including joint damage, cyberattacks, and virus implantation.
The test results showed that robots using traditional electronic architectures experienced issues such as circuit failure, instant shutdown, and system loss of control under certain extreme conditions.
In contrast, the robot equipped with the fully localized electronic architecture passed all relevant safety tests and maintained safe operational capabilities.
The fully localized electronic architecture can further strengthen the robot’s intrinsic safety capabilities, establish clearer safety boundaries for autonomous behavior, and reduce the risk of the robot causing damage to equipment and personnel during production operations. This provides a crucial technical safety foundation for the large-scale application of embodied AI robots.
