October 11, 2023 – Motorola, earlier this year in May, unveiled its Edge+ (2023) smartphone, and today, the brand has introduced the Edge (2023) phone.
The Motorola Edge (2023) is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7030 chipset and is available in a single configuration of 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It runs on the Android 13 operating system, though it’s not yet clear how many major OS updates it will receive.
The device features a 6.6-inch 144Hz pOLED display with support for 10-bit color and HDR10+. The screen offers a touch sampling rate of 360Hz and reaches a peak brightness of 1200 nits. It incorporates an under-display fingerprint sensor and a punch-hole cutout in the center housing a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
The Motorola Edge (2023) is designed with sandblasted aluminum edges and a rear cover made of soft faux leather. On the back, it hosts a dual-camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 120° field of view. The ultra-wide camera also boasts Macro Vision functionality for capturing close-up shots.
Powering the Motorola Edge (2023) is a 4400mAh battery, supporting 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Additional highlights of this phone include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, NFC, an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, and a USB-C port.
The Motorola Edge (2023) is available in a single color option, Eclipse Black, and is priced at $599.99 in the United States (approximately ¥4374 CNY). Currently, there is a limited-time offer, allowing customers to purchase it at $499.99 through the official Motorola website in the United States.
