Apple’s Latest Design Patents Unveil Vision Pro Headset Accessories

January 03, 2024 – In recent developments, Apple Inc. has once again secured several design patents for accessories related to the Vision Pro headset, showcasing details such as the “Cushion for Light Seal” pad, power cord, and headband.

These design patents differ from technical patents, as they do not include any technical specifications or related descriptions. Instead, they primarily highlight the various exterior designs of accessories for the Vision Pro headset.

As previously reported, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, in response to discussions on the X platform, has confirmed earlier reports from “Wall Street News,” suggesting that the Apple Vision Pro headset is set to make its official debut in the U.S. market on January 27.

The current Apple Vision Pro headset utilizes Silicon-based OLED (OLEDoS) screens and employs a “Color Filter (CF) + WOLED scheme.” After WOLED emits white light, it generates colors through an RGB color filter.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from TF International Securities has expressed that the Vision Pro is Apple’s most significant product for 2024, with an estimated shipment of around 500,000 units this year.

Kuo previously asserted that if user responses to the Vision Pro exceed expectations, it could lead to a consensus in the industry that “Vision Pro is the next consumer electronics superstar product,” subsequently boosting the stock prices of relevant supply chain companies.
