March 4, 2025 – Apple CEO Tim Cook teased on social media that the tech giant is set to unveil a new product this week, hinting at the keyword “Air.”
According to media leaks, Apple may forgo a traditional launch event this time, opting instead to release details of the new offering via a press release and simultaneously make it available for purchase on the Apple website.

Based on Cook’s keyword, speculation is rife that the upcoming Air products include the M4 MacBook Air, iPad Air, and iPhone 17 Air. However, it is believed that the iPad Air and iPhone 17 Air are not expected to be released in the near future, pointing to the likelihood that this week’s announcement will focus on the M4 MacBook Air.

Sources indicate that the M4 chip, first introduced in the iPad Pro, boasts impressive specifications. Manufactured using a second-generation 3nm process, it contains 28 billion transistors and offers a unified memory bandwidth of 120GB/s. The CPU comprises four performance cores and six efficiency cores, all equipped with the latest machine learning accelerators. On the GPU side, the M4 features a new 10-core architecture, dynamic caching, and support for hardware-accelerated features like mesh shading and ray tracing.
Beyond the upgraded M4 chip, rumors suggest that the high-end version of the new MacBook Air could come with 32GB of RAM, while the standard model will start with 16GB. This could potentially make it the most powerful Air laptop Apple has ever produced.
