Apple Launches Paid Podcast:Subscribers Get All 8 Episodes, Non-Subscribers Unlock Weekly

June 25, 2024 – Apple, a company known for its innovation in the technology sector, has ventured into a new territory with the launch of its first-ever paid podcast, “My Divo.” This marks a departure from the company’s previous podcasting efforts, which primarily consisted of free, publicly available content distributed via RSS feeds.

With “My Divo,” Apple introduces a subscription-based model that requires users to pay for access to the full podcast series. However, the company is also offering a limited free option. Non-subscribers can listen to one episode per week, providing a taste of the premium content available to those who choose to subscribe.

The new podcast series is set to premiere on July 1, 2024, and will be accessible through the Apple Podcasts application. Apple TV+ subscribers will have exclusive access to the entire series, while non-subscribers will be able to view a total of eight episodes, with a new episode released weekly.

This innovative approach by Apple not only provides a new revenue stream for the company but also offers listeners a more diverse and exclusive podcasting experience. It remains to be seen how this new model will be received by the podcasting community and consumers alike.
