June 24, 2026 – XPeng Motors has officially announced the launch of its third localized production facility worldwide, marking a new chapter in the Chinese EV maker’s aggressive global expansion.

The first batch of G6 sedans has rolled off the assembly line at XPeng’s newly operational EPMB plant in Malacca, Malaysia, with capacity ramp-up already underway. This follows the company’s two prior localization milestones: back in July 2025, Indonesia became the first country to host XPeng’s local assembly operations, with the X9 MPV being the first model delivered to customers on home soil. Later that same year, in Q3 2025, XPeng launched its maiden European production site at Magna’s facility in Graz, Austria, where both the G6 and G9 began rolling off the line — with plans to add more models down the road.
The expansion comes as XPeng’s sales continue to climb. In May 2026, the group delivered 32,158 vehicles, up 4% month-over-month. Looking ahead, the company expects to deliver between 100,000 and 106,000 units in Q2 — representing a 59.5% to 69.1% increase from the previous quarter.
