Tesla Adjusts FSD Pricing: Musk Responds to Criticism

April 22, 2024 – Recent reports have indicated that Tesla has made several adjustments to the pricing of its FSD (Full Self-Driving) software, sparking widespread discussion and raising questions about the pricing strategy adopted by Elon Musk and Tesla.

In response to external inquiries, Musk commented on an article discussing Tesla’s frequent price adjustments, stating that the prices in the traditional dealership model are equally unstable. He emphasized that other automakers also adjust their prices through various means, including dealer markups or manufacturer and dealer incentives.

Musk pointed out that only a fool would believe that the suggested retail price is the actual selling price. He explained that Tesla must continuously adjust its prices to ensure that production matches market demand.

According to previous reports, the cost of Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) package has been reduced from 12,000to8,000 in the United States and from CAD 16,000 to CAD 11,000 in Canada, as displayed on the company’s website.
