BYD Hits Record Monthly Sales Over 400,000 Units in June

July 2, 2026 – BYD has released its official sales figures for June, marking a landmark month as the automaker’s total monthly deliveries surpassed the 400,000-unit threshold, with overseas shipments topping 170,000 vehicles to set another all-time high.

The firm recorded a combined 403,472 vehicle sales last month, among which passenger cars accounted for 397,292 units. Its cross-border sales covering passenger vehicles and pickup trucks hit 174,897 units in June, representing a staggering 95% year-over-year surge that underscores explosive momentum in global markets.

BYD’s four core brands each target distinct consumer segments, forming a well-balanced sales matrix. The Dynasty and Ocean lineups remain the brand’s core revenue pillar, logging 340,863 monthly sales. Centered on mainstream sedans and SUVs built for family use, these two series attract the broadest consumer base across price brackets.

For off-road enthusiasts, the Fang Cheng Bao brand delivered 35,607 units with its rugged, adventure-focused vehicle lineup. Denza, positioned in the premium family mobility space, sold 20,352 high-end MPVs and sedans. Yangwang, catering to ultra-luxury niche buyers, notched 470 deliveries for the month.

Looking at first-half performance, BYD Group’s aggregate sales reached 1,808,511 vehicles from January through June. Cumulative overseas deliveries of passenger cars and pickups stood at 789,367 units, reflecting steady expansion of its international footprint. The brand’s cumulative new energy vehicle sales worldwide have also crossed 16.9 million units, laying an unrivaled long-term market foundation.

Amid cutthroat competition in China’s domestic new energy vehicle sector, many rivals have faced volatile monthly sales volumes. BYD’s consistent ability to hold monthly sales above 400,000 units stems from its comprehensive product portfolio. Its lineup spans affordable daily commuter EVs to premium off-road models and ultra-luxury flagships, catering to buyers across every budget range.

Nearly doubling year-on-year overseas growth signals rising global recognition for Chinese electric vehicles. With ongoing construction of overseas manufacturing plants and continuous expansion of global sales and service networks, BYD’s international delivery numbers are poised to climb even higher in the coming months.
