November 04, 2024 – On November 1st, BYD Commercial Vehicles officially announced the completion of the 150th pure electric bus for the German market, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion into Europe.
To date, BYD has sold over 400 electric buses in Germany, highlighting the growing demand for sustainable transportation solutions in the region.
According to BYD’s October production and sales data, the company sold 2,131 commercial vehicles last month, representing a notable increase of 188.75% compared to the same period last year when it sold 738 units. Additionally, from January to October of this year, BYD’s passenger vehicle sales reached 13,605, indicating a 34.42% year-on-year growth.
In another development, BYD recently delivered the first batch of 20 electric buses to South Africa. These buses, specifically designed to meet the climate conditions and transportation needs of the country, feature a 12.5-meter-long body and a 65-seat capacity. They are equipped with BYD’s proprietary phosphate lithium batteries and a six-in-one controller, showcasing the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
