October 23, 2024 – Following the release of the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition smartphone, Samsung has confirmed to SisaJournal, a Korean media outlet, that it currently has no plans to introduce a more affordable variant of the Galaxy Z Fold series.
The company stated, “Rather than viewing the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition as a high-end product, it is more accurately described as a product designed to expand user choices. Customers can select according to their preferences. At present, we do not have any plans to launch a lower-priced model.”
The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is set to make its debut in South Korea on October 25th, with a price tag of 2,789,600 Korean Won for the version equipped with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage space.
In comparison, the 512GB Galaxy Z Fold6 smartphone retails for 2,388,700 Korean Won, making the Special Edition (512GB) approximately 400,000 Korean Won more expensive.
