April 02, 2024 – According to a report from foreign tech media sammobile, there have been issues with the Material You theme design on several Galaxy series phones from Samsung since the rollout of One UI 6.0. The problem manifests as abnormal display rendering.
While the Material You theme design can render normally when running Samsung applications, it fails to take effect when running Google applications such as Google Drive and Google Docs.
The media conducted tests on the Galaxy S23 Ultra and Galaxy S24+ (both upgraded to One UI 6.1) and found that enabling a green wallpaper and green theme color in Samsung’s built-in “palette” menu did not work when opening Google applications. This suggests that there is an issue with the “Material You” functionality on both One UI 6.0 and One UI 6.1.
